Java / JEE Software Developer (Cork)

A leading Financial Services organisation based in Cork are now recruiting for a Senior JEE/Java Software Developer to join their development team. Experience working with Oracle SQL Database essential. This is an immediate permanent opportunity and superb salary, bonus and benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate must be educated to a degree level and have a minimum of 3-5 years commercial development experience.

• Core Technical Requirements:  Enterprise Java, JavaScript (JQuery), Advanced level knowledge of Oracle (9i, 10G), CSS, HTML AJAX, Spring, Spring MVC, JSP, Hibernate and/or PowerBuilder.  Understanding of Groovy and Grails would be very beneficial.

• Desirable Technical Requirements: Windows, Linux, JBoss, Tomcat, Subversion, Hudson

• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technically-astute team members and non-technical business clients.

• Analytical ability required in identifying user problems and creativity required to present effective solutions.

• Ability to design and build applications based on defined business criteria and provide an accurate estimate for expected time of completion of a project

 Requirements

• At least 3-5 years Java / JEE development experience

• Experience producing quality software

• Strong systems analysis skills.

• Strong database experience

• Experience of working within an agile development framework

• Great interpersonal and communication skills
