Management Consultant - Agri-Foods

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated person who is looking for a role what will be challenging and fulfilling, where you will be a key member of the team which conducts work in areas such as strategic planning, organisation review, and design, business process improvement, operations excellence, project and change management. The role will provide an excellent prospect to build a long-term and sustainable career.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Managing client and stakeholder expectations on an ongoing basis
  • Working onsite with clients implementing programmes of change, including but not limited to:
    • Assisting with the development of strategies and undertaking strategic reviews
    • Driving best practice in operational excellence in food businesses
    • Providing project management support to businesses of all sizes in the food industry
    • Providing industry insights and subject matter advise to clients and colleagues; and
    • Undertaking regulatory reviews in relation to relevant emerging food regulations
    • Preparing formal reports and report presentations
    • Ensuring assigned projects and tasks meet required deadlines
    • Overseeing industry research and thought leadership covering the key market sectors/target clients
    • The preparation of proposals for new client work.

Requirements

  • Third level qualification in business or a food discipline, with food industry experience
  • Masters or postgraduate qualification would be desirable
  • Recognised project management qualifications – would be desirable
  • A minimum of 3 years in a food business or consulting role
  • A deep understanding of food industry policy and regulations
  • Experience of working in and/or with large-scale organisations
  • Excellent understanding of general business practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive reporting and presentation skills are essential
  • Experience in analysing data
  • excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
