Technology Consulting Manager

DHRP are working in partnership with a new client who is a market leader in Technology Consulting Services. The Technology team works with clients to align IT resources with business objectives and structures them to minimise key business risks. The team assists organisations in managing IT as a business and addresses problems in organisations where IT is seen as a constraint on the business or where the reputation of IT is held in low regard.

The team have innovative and forward thinking approach to assist their diverse range of clients to improve IT maturity and adopt leading practices in IT management, quality assurance and IT governance. Specifically projects include delivering solutions in the following areas: IT Strategy, Managing IT Cost and Value, IT sourcing and Service Management, Making IT Projects Perform and IT Transaction Services Due Diligence.
The team have plans to grow extensively over the coming year and are looking to appoint an experienced Manager to assist with these exciting growth plans. The role will offer a competitive remuneration package and clear and defined promotional prospects for the right candidate.

 

Projects will include:


 IT Transformation

Project Management and Project Office

 IT Strategy & Architecture

 Business Intelligence & Analytics

 Client side support on ERP (specifically SAP)

SDLC projects

 IT Infrastructure (e.g. Networking, Active Directory, Collaboration)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead a work stream to produce client ready deliverables under the direction of a Senior Manager, Director or Partner
  • Business Development: Client relationship management, leading and supporting proposal efforts
  • Monitor the progress of the team members towards completion of work and adjust the work plan when necessary
  •  Research and resolve technical queries from clients or team
  • Review the work of the team to ensure that all work is completed to the required level of quality
  • Continuously communicate with the Senior Manager/Director/Partner on the progress of engagements in areas such as the risks, issues, variances from the plan in terms of time and budget
  • Prepare and approve final billing for review by the Senior Manager / Director / Partner
  • Manage interpersonal relationships and motivate team members
  • Identify potential opportunities to provide additional services to new and existing clients
  • Perform coaching and performance management role for team members
  • Identify training and development opportunities for team members
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with clients and team members

Requirements:

  • A recognised University Degree or equivalent, preferably specialising in Computer Science or Business/Management Information Systems
  •  At least 5 years’ experience in a Big 4 Consulting firm or other similar experience working on projects including any or a combination of the following:
  • A recognised University Degree or equivalent, preferably specialising in Computer Science or Business/Management Information Systems
  • Project management and the ability to manage relationships at all levels within within the client’s organisation
  • SDLC, SAP implementation (or any of the above)
  • Strong business acumen
  •  Proven leadership, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
