Javascript Developer

DHRP are partnering an innovative Technology & Entertainment Company based in South Dublin who are currently looking to speak to Web Developers with a passion for great design. This position involves leading custom web development throughout the entire project life cycle and going beyond client expectation whilst keeping within financial restrictions. You will experience the freedom of building custom media rich web sites using your own leadership and programming skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adding functionality to Front End UX/UI applications
  • Ensuring that applications work efficiently and effectively across browsers and devices
  • Working directly with UX/UI team members who are responsible for wireframes and information architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver creative digital solutions
  • Test both the application code and usability features
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency across the team
  • Learning and using agile developmental techniques
  • Exploiting Industry best practices and your experience to create leading business solutions for our clients

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant software development experience building web applications
  • Expert in designing and building robust, modular, well-abstracted and maintainable JavaScript
  • Solid JavaScript experience ideally with one or more MVC frameworks (e.g. Angular.js, Backbone.js, Ember.js) and building AJAX based responsive web applications
  • Proven experience of utilising APIs to achieve impactful data visualisation and user experience
  • Have previously used JavaScript build tools
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS (HTML5 and CSS3 preferred)
  • Exposure to Agile development methods
  • Working knowledge of the browser/device landscape including architectures, trends
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
  • Excellent oral/written communication, planning, project management, networking and influencing skills
  • Assist in project planning and task estimation
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Strong analytical skills and logical approach
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Third level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline
