Tax Senior Manager - Private Clients

Our client a leading Tax Consultancy is looking to grow their Private Client Team at want to appoint a Senior Manager to drive their ambitious growth plans. The Senior Manager will form a pivotal part of the expansion plans for this team.  The private client specialists work with a wide range of individuals including entrepreneurs, business owners, chief executives, high net worth individuals, private equity and hedge fund principles and family offices to plan and report their personal tax affairs.  This includes tax return preparation, optimising their wealth from a tax perspective, including income tax and capital gains tax planning, investment and business structuring, philanthropy and other social investment together with estate and succession planning.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a rapidly expanding team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proactive business development to win new work
  • High level management of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical / business driven approach taken
  • Overall responsibility of quality for client service
  • Manage possible leads from other areas of the practice
  • Build networks and relationships internally and externally
  • Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff 
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and developing our team
  • Significant role in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments

  

Requirements

  • Technical and practical knowledge and experience in advising individuals with complex tax affairs
  • Client driven and strategically and commercially aware
  • Strong tax technical skills
  • Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop quality outputs to clients
  • Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges
  • Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work
  • Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
  • Enthusiastic team player with ability to create, sustain and lead effective teams
  • Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff
  • Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day leadership of delivery team
  • Change orientated with flexible approach
  • ACA / AITI / Law qualification or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification
