Income Tax Senior

Our client a leading consulting firm are looking to appoint an experienced Income Tax Senior who can demonstrate the skills to manage trainees and workloads while providing excellent service and quality advice to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong income tax background and will be ambitious as there are excellent progression prospects for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the income tax compliance of a   large portfolio of   expatriates of multinational companies and   high net worth individuals
• Assisting in the planning and supervision of the income tax compliance process within the ÌES tax department
• Identifying and eliminating inefficiencies in the income tax compliance process
• Liaising closely with private clients and expatriates in relation to providing final tax disclosure figures, payment of tax liability (including review of preliminary tax calculations) and submission of tax returns
• Researching and resolving technical issues arising in the compliance process
• Preparation of technical arguments to support income tax filing positions
• Liaising with Revenue on behalf of clients
• Ability to delegate to, manage and review trainee work on allocated clients
• Ability to present in-house tax training courses and assist with client presentations as required

Requirements

• Member of the Irish Taxation Institute essential 
• Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) or qualified solicitor keen to develop a career in tax desirable
• Strong technical skills and detailed knowledge of income tax
• Minimum of three and a half years in a professional environment within an income tax department
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.  
• Strong academic record
• Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
