Tax Director - UK Tax

Our client a leading provider of professional services internationally is looking to strategically Tax practice with the appointment of a Director/ Associate Director to work in wither their Dublin or Belfast office. This tax unique tax department cover every aspect of Irish and UK tax and have a wide and in-depth experience of cross-border and international tax matters as well as asset-based infrastructure businesses. All aspects of tax are dealt with including Corporate Tax, Private Client Services, International Executive Services, VAT and International and Cross Border Tax

Responsibilities

• Supervisory responsibility for a portfolio of both Irish and multinational clients
• Overseeing the detailed tax work of managers and seniors on a number of varied projects
• Tax advisory on projects within mergers and acquisitions and new developments
• Liaising closely with clients in relation to planning, and to discuss business developments generally
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
• Reviewing and finalising final tax return submissions for corporates and tax provisions for financial statements
• Liaising with partners, as well as other professionals including Audit, Corporate Finance, etc.
• Monitoring the development of managers and playing a key role in their personal development
• Playing a key role in the development of new business, through participation in industry and potential client focus groups
• Advising on cross –border tax issues
• Participating in cross firm ad hoc committees as and when the need arises

Requirements

• Qualified tax professional and/or Chartered Accountancy or equivalent qualification would be an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax
• At least 7 years in a professional tax environment, including at least three years as manager or equivalent
• Excellent team leading, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
• Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment
