Portfolio and Programme Manager

DHRP are working in partnership with a new client who is paving the way in introducing and implementing new initiatives within Technology Consulting.  The team have plans to grow extensively over the coming year and are looking to appoint an experienced professional to join the Programme Management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting background across a range of industries. The role will offer a competitive remuneration package and clear and defined promotional prospects for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Portfolio and Programme management team
  • Preparing and presenting proposals for new client work
  • Managing assigned projects to deadlines and budgets
  • Supporting  business development initiatives
  • Drafting practical thought leadership articles and publications
  • Carrying out other ad hoc support and projects

Requirements

  • Primary degree, MBA or further studies – Desirable
  • Recognised Project Management Qualifications – Desirable
  • Six Sigma or qualification in a similar globally recognised process improvement methodology – Desirable
  • Any primary degree, grade achieved at least 2.1
  • Recognised Project Management Qualifications (PMP, PgMP or equivalent) 
  • 7+ years in industry in a PM  role with at least 2+ years’ experience in leading multi-project programmes
  • Extensive experience of operating within a project/programme management life-cycle methodology with associated processes and governance
  • Extensive experience of managing multiple projects/programme within a portfolio management environment
  • Strong application experience/understanding of programme & change management models, methodologies and techniques
  • Experience of working in and / or with large scale organisations
  • Experience in a Business Analyst role converting business requirements into project objectives and key project deliverables
  • Excellent understanding of general business practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff
  • Comprehensive reporting and presentation skills essential
