Management Consulting - Financial Services

DHRP are partnering a leading Financial Services consultancy who is looking for a Manager to join their highly successful team to support continued growth plans in the marketplace. Specific responsibilities will include delivering engagements in the Banking/ Insurance Sector, leading teams on assignments, dealing with client issues, providing direction to the team, taking responsibility for the project finances and coaching and developing staff.
Responsibilities
- Engaging with current and potential clients in the banking sector and building relationships with them
- Preparing and submitting financial services related proposals
- Supporting the Banking and FS team in propositions
- Engaging with other parts of the organisation (Ireland and Internationally) and network to promote the service offering
- Winning assignments, particularly in the areas of insurance consulting, transformational programmes and mandatory change
- Member of the Financial Services management team
- Leading project teams and providing on-the-job learning and coaching
- Delivering high-quality client projects
- Managing project and programmes
- Drafting practical thought leadership articles and publications in the insurance sector.
- Supporting business development initiatives
- Carrying out other ad hoc sup\ort and projects
Requirements
- Any primary degree, grade achieved at least 2.1
- MBA or further studies – would be desirable
- Recognised Project Management Qualifications –would be desirable
- 5 years in similar consulting based role or 7+ years industry experience in the Banking Sector;
- Experience of working in and/or with large-scale organisations in the Insurance Sector
- Experience in delivering consulting engagements, including change and transformation programmes.
- Excellent understanding of general business practices
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading and developing a team for growth
- Experience in managing a team of resources on multiple assignments running simultaneously
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff
