IT Systems Analyst

Location: Dublin 2. Type: Permanent. Salary: Negotiable. Reference# DH10095

Our client a leading consulting firm is looking to recruit a strong IT Systems Analyst who will work as a second level support for the firm.  The role will primarily involve supporting business applications, SAP, information systems, security and business-to business communication. This requires excellent communication, presentation and project management skills, to ensure deadlines are completed – both on time and on budget.

Requirements

  • Documentation Control (creates/ maintains technical/business process documents)
  • Work with internal departments and establish internal business relationships
  • Assist with company security compliance and documentation, including the delivery of presentations
  • Proactively and reactively deliver on continuous improvement processes
  • Day-to-day project management, providing accurate reporting and business intelligence throughout projects. Develop detailed MS project plans, with budget and resources allocated 
  • In-depth analytical skills. Working closely with technical/business teams to provide insights where appropriate
  • Work with business stakeholders to streamline support processes
  • Ability to document workflows and processes. Regularly identifying and promoting opportunities to automate system processes
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time; at any one point you may be working on multiple projects
  • Work closely with business stakeholder’s to establish requirements and translate them to technical solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SAP issues to provide 2nd level support to the Firm
  • Ensure that SLAs of tickets raised are being met. Escalate issues internally/externally and work alongside external SAP support provider to resolve tickets in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge; this role does not require a development background, but any successful candidate should be comfortable discussing issues with both technical and business teams
  • Ability to interact and communicate with colleagues efficiently and effectively
  • Good understanding of database development and maintenance
  • Experience with MySql, SQL queries, syntax and SQL Server
  • Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines to implement pragmatic and intelligent decisions
  • Previous experience in an application support environment role and have a structural approach to troubleshooting
  • Third Level Degree
  • Previous experience with ERP/SAP systems would be a strong advantage
  • Proven project administration skills
