Data Analytics - Assurance and Risk

Our client a leading consulting firm are looking to recruit and experienced Consultant/ Senior to join their growing Data Services Consulting Group. Responsibilities

• Identify audit efficiencies possible through the use of automated testing
• Designing appropriate procedures and audit programmes in line with audit approach
• Liaising onsite with clients to obtain relevant data to perform the required testing for the audit team
• Ensure Manager/Senior Managers (or relevant Partner) are informed on a regular basis on the progress of the work and relevant issues in respect of budget constraints
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients or audit team Taking responsibility for delivering work in line with engagement objectives and budget 
• Review the work of junior team members to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames
• Work as an effective team member during an engagement by communicating relevant issues, requesting feedback and coaching junior team members
• Preparing reports detailing the results of testing performed to be provided to the audit team for use during the engagement
• Reporting on audit findings to the Managers/Senior Managers and Partners and in particular raise any issues arising during field work; 
• Design, build and review financial projections
• Design, build and review automated spreadsheet/database applications;

Requirements

• A recognised University Degree or equivalent, preferably specialising in Computer Science, Business/Management Information Systems, Accounting or Finance;
• Qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent from a recognised international accounting institution) is a strong advantage.
• Experience in data mining/manipulation experience ideally in a large practice or large bank/insurance mulit-national other.
• Experienced in the use of Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAAT’s);
