Group Accounting Manager

Our client a London based General Insurer is looking for a experienced Financial Accountant to become their Group Accounting Manager. The position will take responsibility for the management of four Financial Accountants with responsibilities for UK business accounts and consolidation of European compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

To prepare analytical reviews to support the financial numbers for management and board review

To maintain complete and accurate accounting records for each of the UK registered companies, in accordance with the latest reporting standard
To prepare all financial and fiscal reports for the UK companies, including translation of euro-denominated European branch accounts, Group reporting and the management of the year-end statutory reporting
To prepare analytical reviews to support the financial numbers for management and board review

Requirements

Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA
General Insurance experience essential
Completion of Statutory Accounts including Group Consolidation
Practical experience of the completion of FSA return preferred
IFRS
