Financial Controller - Insurance

An impresseive Financial Controller opportunity exists within a recognised global provider of P&C Reinsurance. With an established presence in North America and Europe, our client is now looking to expand its Dublin office with a key appointment within their senior management team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain all financial & regulatory reports, accounts and general ledger
• Prepare annual, quarterly budgets and variance analysis
• Manage reinsurance agreements and prepare all related reports on results to Executive team
• Prepare regulatory capital calculations and associated reports through close interaction with actuarial team
• Monitor foreign currency exposures
• Ensure compliance with inter-company agreements by working closely with counter-parties in global offices

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification
• The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years’ post-qualification experience within the insurance or reinsurance sector
• Ability to be an approved person by the Financial Regulator
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS
• Working knowledge of regulatory capital standards and reports including Solvency II
• Excellent project management and analytical skills
• Highly-proficient with Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel skills
